Privacy policy
This policy explains what Nexus Classifieds collects, why it is collected, how long it is kept and who it is shared with. It applies to every visitor, whether or not you hold an account, and it is written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Information we collect
We collect the account details you provide when registering, such as your display name, email address and optional phone number, together with the content of the listings and messages you create. Technical information including IP address, device type, browser and pages viewed is recorded automatically to keep the marketplace secure and to detect abusive posting patterns.
How we use your information
Your data is used to operate your account, publish your listings in the correct city and category, deliver the upgrades you order, confirm manual payments, respond to support requests and enforce the marketplace rules. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics help us understand which categories and regions need investment, but they never identify an individual user.
What other users can see
Anything you place inside a listing is public by design, including the title, description, price, photographs, city and the contact details you choose to publish. Your email address is never displayed automatically; messages are relayed through the site unless you choose to reveal a phone number or email inside the listing text.
Payment information
Payments are settled directly between you and the published Cash App, Venmo or Chime accounts, so we never receive or store card numbers or banking credentials. We retain only the order code, the amount, the reference number you submit and any screenshot you upload, which are held privately and used solely to verify and audit the order.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers that host the database, storage and email delivery on our behalf, all bound by confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where disclosure is legally required or necessary to investigate fraud, threats to safety or serious breaches of these policies.
Retention and security
Account records are kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Listing photographs and payment proofs are stored in access-controlled buckets, served through short-lived signed links, and protected by row-level security so that only you and authorised moderators can reach your private records.
Your choices
You can review and edit your profile, listings and contact preferences at any time from the dashboard, and you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support. Some records, such as transaction logs required for accounting or evidence of fraud, may be retained after deletion where the law permits or requires it.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your chosen location and preserve draft listings between visits. These are required for the site to function; we do not run third-party advertising trackers across the marketplace.
